Dundee West MP Jim McGovern today used a Parliamentary Question to press the Government to move forward with the next stage of House of Lords reform. Mr McGovern was acting in response to the recent negative press reports regarding loans to political parties.
In light of the so-called ‘Loans for peerages’ affair, Jim was keen that members of both Parties didn’t take their eye off of the really important issues. Here he presses the Government to move towards an elected House of Lords.
On the weekend that the Black Watch is merged into the new Royal Regiment of Scotland, Dundee West MP, Jim McGovern took the opportunity of Defence Questions to again push the Government over the procurement of the tartan that will be used to make the new regiment’s kilts.
